Kristine Pyzyna joined the Office of General Counsel as an Associate General Counsel in October of 2006, concentrating her practice in business and tax law, real estate, health care transactions, healthcare regulatory, hospital operations and physician practices.
Prior to joining Penn, Kristine was an associate attorney in the Health Care Law and Tax Practice Groups at Hall Render Killian Heath and Lyman in Indianapolis, Indiana. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, she served as an Associate University Counsel at University of Illinois at Chicago, where she represented UIC’s School of Medicine, Physician Practice Plan and the Hospital of the University of Illinois. Prior to UIC she worked for Resurrection Health Care serving as in-house counsel risk and claims manager for one of its city hospitals, with system responsibility for Home Care, Long Term Care and System Integration.
Kristine graduated from North Park University in Chicago (BS- Major in Nursing 1979). She received her law degree from DePaul University College of Law in Chicago ( JD 1985) and Master of Law in Tax from John Marshall University in Chicago (LLM 2003). Kristine is licensed as a Registered Nurse and admitted to practice Law in both Pennsylvania and Illinois.
