Kathryn A. ("Kate") Donohue is Director, Legal Affairs of the Penn Center for Innovation, as well as an Associate General Counsel of the University of Pennsylvania. As an intellectual property attorney, she has devoted over 30 years to legal support of technology development, protection and licensing. Ms. Donohue assists the Penn community with the licensing and commericalization of Penn's technology and inventions and with other IP and policy issues that relate to research and technology transfer.
Prior to joining Penn, Ms. Donohue was a partner at Pepper Hamilton LLP, served as Assistant General Counsel of Sanchez Computer Associates, a software company, and served as the senior intellectual property attorney at Drexel University. She received an AB from the University of Michigan Honors College (AB, high honors) and a JD from the University of Michigan Law School.
