James Damon is Associate General Counsel for the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Medicine. Mr. Damon’s practice focuses on employee benefits and employment tax matters, including retirement plans, group health plans, executive compensation, fringe benefits, and payroll tax withholding and reporting. Mr. Damon also assists with questions related to tax-exempt organization compliance.
Prior to joining Penn, Mr. Damon was in private practice at the Washington D.C. law firm of Covington & Burling LLP. He attended The College of William & Mary (B.A. in English and Economics). Mr. Damon subsequently received his law degree from William & Mary Law School (J.D., Summa cum laude, 2016), where he was admitted to the Order of the Coif.
