Denene Wambach joined the Office of General Counsel in September, 2012. Ms. Wambach represents the University and Penn Medicine on a variety of matters, including intellectual property, research, industry alliances, healthcare/mental healthcare, litigation, and student disability accommodations, particularly in the housing and dining contexts. In addition, Ms. Wambach provides legal support to Penn’s cell processing and manufacturing facilities, as well as Penn Medicine’s translational research and cell therapy programs.
Ms. Wambach received her undergraduate and law degrees from Temple University. She joined the Office of the General Counsel immediately upon graduation from law school. Before attending law school, Ms. Wambach was a research technician in neuroscience/neuropsychology and worked on the press and advance teams of a presidential campaign. She is currently studying bioethics at the Penn’s Perelman School of Medicine as well as Social Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience in the “SCAN” Program at Penn’s College of Arts and Sciences. Ms. Wambach is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania.
