Pooja Agarwal is Executive Director of Legal Affairs for the Abramson Cancer Center, as well as an Associate General Counsel of the University of Pennsylvania. In her role, Ms. Agarwal leads the team that supports Abramson Cancer Center’s clinical, scientific research, and immunotherapy research collaborations, as well as matters related to intellectual property commercialization.
Prior to her current role at Penn, Ms. Agarwal was Senior Associate Director of Legal Affairs at the Penn Center for Innovation. She also spent several years prior to joining Penn in the corporate law departments of international law firms in New York and Philadelphia. She also spent five years as Business Counsel at FMC Corporation, focusing on global commercial transactions, securities and mergers and acquisitions.
Ms. Agarwal serves on the Board of Trustees of the Folk-Arts Cultural Treasures School (FACTS), a K-8 charter school based in the Chinatown neighborhood of Philadelphia. She is also on the Board of Directors of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society of Pennsylvania (HIAS PA), which supports low-income immigrants of all backgrounds through legal services and social services.
Ms. Agarwal received her B.A in Economics-Philosophy from Columbia University, and law degrees from the University of Pennsylvania (LL.M) and Brooklyn Law School (JD). She is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New York.
